With so many earbud products out there, what makes the Earglove Sport Stereo Headset stand out? How about a lot of great features! The Body Glove Sport Stereo gives you a mobile phone and music player headset in one! It also has ultra comfortable earloops for a secure fit plus high fidelity speakers for superb sound quality. You don’t have to use the earloops, although I don’t know why you wouldn’t want to. You really don’t feel them and they make the earbud connection to your ear more secure. The earloops that are attached are black as is the tangle-resistant cord. Also included are two more sets of earloops in colors silver and black. I think it would make more sense to market these earloop separately with the same color cords. Personally, I think the extras seem a waste.
Other features include an answer/end button that automatically mutes music for incoming calls and resumes playing once call has ended (phone dependent). There’s an an attached clip to take up any excess cord. The connector plugs directly into stereo mobile phones with 2.5mm jack and also included is a 3.5mm adapter for your music player.
I normally listen to music while on my computer using USB Soundsticks with a bass speaker. I love my MacBookPro but the internal speakers are tinny sounding. (more…)
Palm Support
Product Review

Price: $29.99
Pros: Very clever design, and seems to work pretty well for the intended purpose-comfort for your wrist.
Cons: Need a way for the mouse to “attach” to the palm support; having to attach it with every use is a irritation

Satisfactory

The Palm Support really does provide a more comfortable positioning of your wrist when using the mouse. The support, with a patented Health-VĂ´ Channel, claims to relieve wrist pressure which can help to prevent carpal tunnel syndrome. I haven’t used it long enough to verify this, but I can say that it is comfortable.
The mouse pad that comes with the palm support provides a very smooth movement…much better than a traditional mouse pad, and it glides very effortlessly. The memory foam support puts both small and large hands in a neutral posture. It will work with or without the mouse pad. The only down side is that I spend time trying to “marry” the mouse and the palm support prior to using. I have even had to pick the support off the floor. It would be an enhancement if one could connect the two together somehow.
The support is generic enough most mice, and small and light enough to easily transport along with you for use away from your home or office. The product is Certified by the International Academy of Ergonomics.
For me, I think the negative feature of trying to keep the mouse and the palm support together will win out over the long term positive points of the support. If I were suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome I might be more apt to make another decision. For now, I think I’ll put it away. I will use the mouse pad though.

There are literally hundreds of computer carriers, cases and protectors for sale, so the question is how to chose the right one for yourself. It really is a matter of personal taste and need. Let me tell you about the Fellowes 17″ computer backpack and you can decide for yourself.
The Fellowes 17″ computer backpack has a convenient top-load design. The main section is amply padded to protect your laptop. You could place your laptop in the inner section topped by a velcro strap affording it double padding or even fit two laptops in comfortably with padding for both! This section is nearest your back and therefore making it more protected with more compartments on the other side.
On the other side are five more zippered compartments. Inside the large one you will find pockets for a cell phone, three pens or pencils, business cards and an iPod pocket divided in two so you have a place for your earbuds. The topmost zippered compartment runs the length of the backpack as does the one with the spaces for your cell phone etc. (more…)

The Fellowes Professional Series Executive Keyboard Tray is a new product that includes ergonomics features for the workplace or home office. Fellowes is an innovator, and this new tray installed in a half an hour under my desk with few tools. Diagrams were sparse, but I figured it out and it works very nicely.
I use a wireless Apple keyboard and mouse. The keyboard fits easily, with room left over for larger keyboards, comes with a soft gel padded wrist support attached so you have a neutral hand/wrist position. I noted improved feel for my longer periods of computer use. There’s a single lever that allows infinite adjustments, up and down, to the side. well done. The Mouse platform attaches to either side of the main tray, so if you’re left or right handed, you’re covered. It swivels too for the perfect fit.
It’s certified by the International Academy of Ergonomics, and meets BIFMA standards, but that comes at a financial cost of $ 339.99. If some of the adjustments aren’t required, you can go to other Fellowes keyboard trays, a full line is offered on their website.
