		<description>Thanks for sending the review. We appreciate the fine job that your group always does, and I know that your reviewers work hard to provide an informative analysis of the product. I think we may have let you down by not emphasizing one of the most important benefits of Smasher and one that makes it a must-have even for non-designer types. Smasher is the world’s first and only preventive font maintenance application.

Because design applications such as QuarkXPress and Adobe Creative Suite create font caches, it is important to note the harmful effects that cache corruption can cause if left unchecked. Garbled text, output problems and system instability can all result from these caches if left unchecked. Even Microsoft Office and the Mac OS itself creates caches that can disrupt your productivity. While it is possible to diagnose the problems and then run a cache cleaner, most people don’t have the expertise to troubleshoot the problem. This is where Smasher comes in. Look at the automation window:

&lt;img title=&quot;book&quot; alt=&quot;book&quot; src=&quot;http://akappleug.org/reviews/img/Reviewed/Nov07/image001.png&quot; /&gt;

A user only needs to go to the Tools menu and select Schedule. Then check the applications that the user runs and the frequency that you would like cache smashing maintenance to occur. That’s it!

Please let me know if you have any other questions. BTW, try this: Launch Smasher, go to preferences and make sure to uncheck the box next to Do not play sounds. Then select About Smasher. Enjoy!

Best regards,
